"Alice was a wonderful teacher, warm, knowledgeable and providing the perfect balance between the spiritual and the practical."  Jo

My name is Alice. I recently gave birth to my son Samuel and I live in Cobham, Surrey. My love of yoga first began when I was at university, almost 15 years ago.  Like many people I initially thought yoga was just another exercise class, however I felt an immediate affinity with the practice and loved the inner calmness it gave me. As I started to attend regularly I felt an increased sense of well-being, felt more rested and consequently more able to deal with the ups and downs of daily life. Over the years I have continued to develop my own practice, studying with many wonderful teachers and exploring Sivananda, Ashtanga, Scaravelli-inspired yoga and meditation.

I completed my initial teaching training at the Sivananda Ashram in Tamil Nadu, India and I went on to qualify with the British Wheel of Yoga. Up until this point I focused on teaching adults and teenagers but this changed when I began an apprenticeship with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, co-founder of Sitaram, specialists in pregnancy and post-natal yoga. The training had a profound affect upon me as I witnessed the truly transformative power of yoga during this special time. I qualified in pregnancy, post-natal, mum & baby and early years yoga with Sitaram/The Life Centre. I wish to thank Sitaram, in particular Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, for her continued support and guidance.

Most recently I have completed my training in baby massage with IAIM, the internationally recognised leader in massage training for infants. I have massaged Samuel since he was born and noticed his positive response, it always makes him smile!
